I hadn’t been on the cable cars in more than 20 years, but the California Street line happened to be my most efficient route between two points yesterday. The Blue Angels Over San Francisco
So the Blue Angels were here for Fleet Week. I wasn’t well enough to cope with the crowds and transportation hassles to get to a paid seat where we could see all the action, but there was quite a lot to be seen from my own balcony and rooftop and then (Sunday) from the Embarcadero (a brief walk from my home).

Viva la Vida:

In the Garden
I spent yesterday afternoon in John & Jeffrey’s lovely, lush San Francisco garden, experimenting with the camera in my new iPhone 4. I’d say the results speak for themselves; I don’t think I’ll bother carrying around my old digital still camera anymore.
Most of these were taken as macro-range closeups and further cropped afterwards. I have not made any color adjustments.
