I don’t know what these are, but a neighbor has a whole bush full of them, which makes me happy every time I walk by.

Old Roses: Berkeley Botanical Garden and Rockridge
The old roses are blooming at the Berkeley Botanical Garden. Most of these photos were taken there, but a few were taken in my neighborhood earlier this morning.
May 4, 2013: Tilden Park Botanic Garden
Tilden Park has a botanic garden specializing in local species. It’s a maze of narrow, winding paths with numerous small bridges built over a stream (one deep pool even contains fish and crawfish!).
